Internet Privacy Statement for Store Customers and Web Site Visitors

MCOL is committed to providing you with quality managed care knowledge resources for our store customers and our web site visitors in which your internet privacy is protected. The following is our policy regarding user internet privacy.

Collection of personal information

Upon registration, store customers are asked for the following: Name, Title, Organization, Address, city, state/province, country, zip, Phone, Fax , email address, order information regarding the products to be purchased and payment information including the payment option you desire and credit card information if applicable. You have the option of using a secured order form which authenticates and encrypts all information sent to MCOL.

Web Site visitors that register for free-newsletters, or complete forms to be contacted by MCOL or to receive additional information from MCOL are asked for their e-mail address, and various combinations of Name, Title, Organization, Address, city, state/province, country, zip, Phone, and Fax. Certain e-newsletter registrations are conducted through a third party secured e-mail service facility.

All of the above information is moved to another computer not connected to the internet and removed from the Internet connected computer which processed the original transaction. While on the Internet computer, all information is kept in a secured area.

E-Mail Messages from MCOL

MCOL Store customers will receive periodic announcements regarding the product they purchased, such as upgrade announcements. Web Site visitors and store customers will also receive MCOL's @Store e-newsletter, and will also receive HealthExecWire newsletters and any other e-newsletters they have registered to receive. You will receive messages in this regard unless you register to limit or decline these services as discussed below. In addition, MCOL may send you periodic messages regarding other MCOL web site or product announcements.

Limitation on use of collected information

MCOL will not sell or exchange customer or web-site visitor registered e-mail addresses to any other party or organization without the explicit permission of the user, nor will it supplement this information with information provided by 3rd party providers. MCOL may occasionally distribute regular (snail) mail, telephone or fax information to MCOL partners for prior arranged distribution of managed care related information. MCOL reserves the right to transfer title of its distribution list(s) to a 3rd party at any time. 

Update/delete/deactivate E-Mail Services

Anyone can request changes to e-mail services delivered by MCOL, including requests to receive no e-mail services. You can also request to have their email address eliminated from the MCOL database altogether by contacting MCOL tech support at mcare@mcol.com. However, messages delivered on behalf of MCOL are best deactivated by following the unsubscribe message provided in any e-mail.

Cookies

MCOL uses cookies to verify your identity while using the service. A cookie is a text file which sits on your hard drive and is erased every time you end your session with Managed Care On-Line, Global Health Resources.com, or other MCOL affiliated websites. The purpose of this is so that you don't have to continuously login on every page of the site. You have the option of rejecting the cookie, but if you do so you won't have access to private areas of the site, e.g. Member Only areas.

Log Files

MCOL records the following information in our web logs: IP address, browser type (e.g. whether you user Netscape or Internet Explorer), the page requested and the time of each page request. We collect this information to: track times to manage resources, analyze trends to provide better service, and for other site administration. This demographic information will be used only to provide better, more targeted services to our members. This information, if shared, will be shared, only in aggregate form, with only select 3rd parties. MCOL will never release any member's information to 3rd parties unless subpoenaed or ordered by court of law.

Security

Access to computer data and files at MCOL are secured by password coding and internal file security. Any sensitive information is removed from any possible Internet access and placed on a computer that is secured and can only be accessed by authorized MCOL employees. MCOL employees. are educated about the company's security policies on a regular basis.

MCOL contains links to third party Web sites. The linked sites are not under the control of MCOL, Inc., and MCOL, Inc. is not responsible for the contents, advertising, products, or any other materials or links contained in those linked sites. MCOL, Inc. provides these links only as a convenience, and inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement of the linked site by MCOL, Inc. or its affiliates.

Changes to this policy

Although MCOL does not intend to change its privacy policy, it will announce to members if a change is planned.
