Senior Medical Director, UPMC Health Plan

The UPMC local provider network totals more than 80 hospitals and 7,600 physicians. The integrated partner companies of the UPMC Insurance Services serves more than 1.3 million members, including 350,000 commercial members. The Senior Medical Director, Commercial reports to the VP of Medical Affairs and provides clinical leadership and medical oversight for the commercial products, employee assistance program, health management, and health promotion service lines. This physician leader will be proactive in contributing to the success of lifestyle and risk management programs. UPMC Health Plan is catching the attention and interest of employers to provide health and wellness services as a retail function. The Senior Medical Director will help steer the continued growth and success of the commercial products, providing ideas for improvements as well as suggesting novel strategies. We are seeking a managed care physician executive with demonstrated new program development experience.
